How Often do The Vowel Rules Work ?
A-When There are two Vowel Letters in a Syllable:
1-The First Vowel Says its Alphabet Name.
2-The Second Vowel is Silent.
For Example: cake , tea , ice , cone , cube
B-When there is only one Vowel letter in a Syllable:
1-The Vowel Letter does NOT say its Alphabet name.
2-The Vowel Letter says its RELATIVE sound.
For Example: can , pencil , finger , hot , summer
N.B : These Rules Work for Many Words,but not at all

Pronunciation in American English is different from the British English Pronunciation
The teacher teaches only grammar and vocabulary. He doesn't teach Pronunciation And his students cannot communicate in English when they go abroad. it is difficult because it is not related to the spelling of words but with more practice you can get it.The only true test is: try to talk to "normal people" native English speakers . If they can understand you, then you can say that you can communicate in English.

The Pronunciation of a Word is what you hear when someone says the word
Your Pronunciation creates the first impression you make. In America most people could not understand the foreigner because he had bad Pronunciation even if his grammar is good.So if you want to Speak English well enough, you should work on Pronunciation too.
